Our Purpose
At Christ Bible Church, we are committed to doing all we can to present everyone complete in Christ! (Col. 1:28) To that end, we have several Home Bible Studies available to you. It doesn’t matter if you are new to the church or just haven’t yet attended a group, there is a group waiting for you to join them. Our desire is that each person would be encouraged and strengthened in his or her relationship with Christ and with others (Acts 2:42-47).
What is a Home Bible Study?
Our Home Bible Study groups vary in size, but are made up of people who gather regularly to encourage one another, grow together spiritually, pray for one another and provide encouragement and accountability to follow the Lord more closely.
What happens in a Home Bible Study?
Each group will spend time in God’s Word and in prayer. Groups may have a particular focus or outside text they’re using to augment their study of the Scriptures. These groups also provide a time for fellowship and getting to know each other.
How do I join a Home Bible Study?
Prayerfully consider which group would be best for you and contact the leader directly to ask about visiting the group this week. Find A Home Bible Study
We have groups that meet on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday nights during the typical fall and spring school semesters, 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. in various parts of the San Fernando Valley, Santa Clarita Valley, and Simi Valley.
We also have groups for men, women and young adults that meet periodically but our main focus is on our Home Bible Studies.
Accountability Groups
Our accountability groups are composed of a maximum of 4 individuals who voluntarily seek each other out to provide an intimate time of discipleship. While each group is unique, the goal of each one is to prayerfully read a book of the Bible or a book about the Bible and hold each other accountable in its application on a daily basis, through confession of sin and encouragement to cherish Jesus above all else.
